“Excellent vocabulary and course. Parents! Buy this for your children! Mrs Glasson is an amazing teacher. Wonderful words, independent learning, reading, writing, comprehension and so much more. Definitely recommended - for exams and for life!”

Cajanath Shuseenthiran

“Fantastic! My son isn't studying for the 11+, he is studying to improve his English. He has done Mrs Glasson's other courses - and loves her teaching. I do too! I am an English graduate, but I have learnt so much from this workbook. She really knows her stuff. Love the book recommendations. There's no one out there like Mrs Glasson. She's exceptional. So intelligent and so enthusiastic. Leaves other tutors standing! ”

Vanessa Gray

“Wonderful vocabulary! We are all learning . We all love this course and look forward to the videos. The workbook is such good value! You can do it in your own time. Enjoyable and fun. Best teacher! Outstanding English teacher.”

Dipika Patel

“Brilliant book and course! As a lawyer I often use words Mrs Glasson taught me as a child. She inspired me to become an independent learner. Watch her videos. Who wouldn't be inspired? I loved English at school because of her. It's been a pleasure to use this workbook with my son. It's got all the old favourites and more. It's great to 'see' you again. You're are a legend, Mrs G!”

Former Student

“Ambitious vocabulary is crucial for conversation and writing in your life, at school and for 11+ exam. My child watched all Mrs Glasson’s videos of 'Wonderful Words’ and definitely improved his English at primary school (his teacher was impressed with his new words!). I bought many books for him to learn new vocabulary for 11+ exam, but often he forgot some of them. Why? Because there were no examples of using them. Mrs Glasson will give examples for every new word ( your child needs to understand in which context they make sense) and the “Wonderful words Workbook “ will help him to revise and practise the spelling in the amazing style of Mrs Glasson. And your child will love it like my child, who already enjoyed her 11+ Revision course. It will be a successful way to learn and inspire your child to use the new vocabulary in every occasion. Mrs Glasson is the best English teacher we have ever known!”

Laliana Gagliardi

“I am Noriko from Tokyo in Japan. I study English for my job and hobby. I watch Mrs Glasson's videos to learn high class British English. I am learning many words. The workbook is good for study because we can keep record. I can read and learn again from the book. I enjoy learning English from this teacher.”

Noriko Kishimoto

“Just want to share our feedback. My son is really enjoying your wonderful words workbook. His feedback. Very informative, mature and very fun (the way you explained). We are new in the 11 plus journey and I'm. glad that I found something that encourages him to learn something and hope it will help him. He said to me never too late to learn!”

Irene and Jayden

“Hello Mrs Glasson, just wanted to let you know that Adi has been working on his vocabulary by following your wonderful words video tutorials and the workbook that goes with it. He is enjoying it. Not only the words you teach but he also looks for the words you use as you speak, Googles their meanings and jots them in his vocabulary book. It's good to see. him taking interest in English. Thanks to you.”

Parent of Adi (Year 5 student).

“I have been using your vocabulary course with the workbook. It's brilliant!”

“Mrs Glasson is a brilliant teacher. Before we tried her course, I wasted money on other tutor's courses. They are not qualified and do not teach like Mrs Glasson. She has worked in grammar schools and many parents recommend her. I am so glad we found her. My son also is studying her 11+ Revision Course. He now loves English and his teachers have commented on how his vocabulary and writing and comprehension have improved. We are lucky to have such an English teacher. Recommended to everyone! ”

We have purchased the Wonderful Words Workbook. It is such great value for money!

The "A to Z Wonderful Words Workbook" is an absolute gem for my child. The resource is fantastically designed, making challenging words enjoyable for my child to learn. Each letter words are challenging but also rich in meaning.

It is lovely as parent to hear my child use words we never got exposed too when we were their age at 7, and for him to be using it daily in his vernacular. Even I have learned many new words and challenge my husband too for fun :)

The teachers have noticed an improvement in my child’s vocabulary, mentioning it to me on parents evening in just 2 weeks after we started completing the workbook. I know this workbook has played a key role in him achieving the highest grades this year.

The workbook has improved his language skills and his confidence in speaking and writing in home and in school.

I will be purchasing the wonderful words booklet and the foundation course for my other son too.

I actually still cannot believe we have found the best teacher I could imagine for learning English. English was always an area we struggled for finding the right materials or a clear path of learning compared to maths.

Thank you for adding so much value in the wonderful words workbook. My son and myself are looking forward to continuing the journey of reading and listening to lessons from yourself. ”

Bal. Parent of Year 3 Foundation Course Student.

“This amazing workbook is a must buy. It has been penned down by an experienced English teacher. Mrs Glasson’s passion towards her subject is vividly reflected in her writing. I would recommend this without any hesitation. 🙌 ”

Mrs Asad, Parent of Year 4 student.

I absolutely adore Mrs. Glasson’s Wonderful Words Workbook!

My son approaches it with alacritous enthusiasm, and I have seen how it has truly elevated his writing. He now uses a richer lexis with confidence, applying new words effectively in most of his writing pieces.

As part of our summer break routine, we diligently watch the accompanying videos, which keep his learning fresh and compelling. I’m certain this resource will help him in many ways beyond just exam preparation”

H. Raposo. Parent of Year 6 student.

After watching your videos and going through the workbook I can confidently say my son has adopted much of your vernacular and now uses many of the words you use.

More importantly, he uses them in the correct context. Nothing worse and more revealing than someone (over) using ambitious vocabulary incorrectly or out of context (a pet peeve).”

“Apps, flashcards, stories. We tried everything. My DS didn't enjoy them and when she did learn words she used them inappropriately.

That is until she watched Mrs Glasson's YouTube videos. She was immediately interested. Mrs Glasson is definitely a skilled teacher because when you learn from her, you enjoy the process. Most importantly because of the way she adds context and can use language so well, you do not realised how much you are learning.

To give her credit, she makes it all look so easy. That is the sign of a good teacher.

My DS has been encouraged to be praised by her teachers, whereas before she was warned about her vocabulary. I know for a fact it is because of Mrs Glasson that her vocabulary and her English has improved.

Thank you to this talented teacher. The best vocabulary resource. No wonder she is so famous! I hope she will make another book. I am enrolling in her mock tests and revision course lessons.

It doesn't matter the outcome of the exams, Mrs Glasson has created a foundation for my DS by making her so interested in English. That is the most important thing.

I recommend any teaching of Mrs Glasson.”

“Both my children are using this book and learning. At Wilsons he goes to school in Year 10 and his teacher always says well done for the vocabulary.

My youngest is taking 11+ exams in September and registered with Mrs Glasson in the recorded classes for revision. Both my boys use the revision course because with Mrs Glasson there is so much to learn. My wife and me too are learning. In the Zoom meeting Mrs Glasson gave reading list and advised for both children. Very recommended.”

“Lists, apps, flashcards, stories, games etc do not work on their own. If they did, qualified English teachers and schools would not be needed.

All English markers have seen the poor-quality exam writing produced by candidates affected by terrible tutoring and bad practice.

Long words learnt by rote and thrown in. The usual epidemic of synonyms, antonyms and similes. Nonsensical, weak writing and exam failure are the outcomes.

Just because you have been taught something, it doesn’t mean you can teach it. Some of these tutors have a lot to answer for.

Worlds away from Mrs Glasson.

No wonder Mrs Glasson’s workbook and course are praised by examiners and qualified teachers.

Context, assimilation, modelling, reinforcement, extension… All done in a fun, motivational way.

Watch her videos on her YT Channel. She makes it look easy. She makes learning fun. You forget the skill involved. That’s a talented teacher right there!

I used her workbook with my own children. I recommend her workbook and 11+ Extension Course modules to parents at my independent school.

Students are lucky that they can access her incredible teaching via the workbook and her courses.

Anyone who has ever worked with her and anyone who has ever been taught by her will agree that she is a gifted teacher.

Everyone can learn from Mrs Glasson- even English teachers! ”
